The Saw Mill over the years
The Saw Mill camping and recreation park developed - as the name conveys - from saw mill works. Trees were felled and processed here and the wood used to build wooden huts, cabins and to produce charcoal.
During the 20th century the Saw Mill with its restaurant, terrace , kiosk and lake was popular for a day's outing. By this time there were no longer any remains of the original saw mill that had stood on the course of the brook.
